09/03/2018

ICRIOS has won a RISE - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Research and Innovation Staff Exchange project.(Call: H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017).

The project Catching up along the global value chain: models, determinants and policy implications (CatChain) will last 48 months and will involve other 12 partners in addition to Bocconi University.

This is a project built on a multidisciplinary and multisectoral joint exchange program that focuses on the role of entry, learning and upgrading in fostering a process of country-level catching-up in different sectoral systems. Using the value chain approach, it analyses the opportunities and challenges for Small and Medium Enterprises’ (SMEs) industrial upgrading in the globalising economy.

The project will also examine the policy implications related to how Research and Innovation Smart Specialization (RIS3) can be implemented by institutions, with respect to the new agenda of Europe 2020, especially for low-income EU countries.
