Micro-Dynamics, Catching-Up and Global Value Chains

First Conference CatChain

CatChain, a 48-month research project led by Bocconi University’s ICRIOS center and funded by the European Commission’ Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions program with €1.6 mln, had the First Conference in Milan on 20th - 22nd November 2019.

This Conference aims at bringing to the city of Milan 5 young researchers to present and discuss their original and unpublished research on issues related to Micro-dynamics, Catching-Up and Global Value Chains in Latin America, Asia or Africa, with top senior scholars at the fields of Evolutionary Economics, Innovation and International Economics.

Some of the senior scholars who have participated at this Conference include Gary Gereffi (Duke University), Keun Lee (Seoul National University), Mammo Muchie (Tshwane University of Technology), Nicholas Vonortas (The George Washington University), Sunil Mani (Centre for Development Studies), Carlo Pietrobelli (University Roma Tre) and, Franco Malerba (Bocconi University).
